Qitaqit, of the Ghahar
Taw'al, hulda of the Ghahar

ㅤrule 001ㅤ absolutely no transphobia, lesbiphobia, homophobia, racism, ableism, sexism, fatphobia, anti-indigeneity, or zionism
ㅤrule 002ㅤ i will only do erp if it makes sense from a character standpoint. qitaqit is a vulnerable woman, not a sex doll to be objectified
ㅤrule 003ㅤ please be 21 years of age or older to interact with me
ㅤrule 004ㅤ roleplaying is a creative writing collaborative hobby. i do not want to rp with a machine. if i suspect you are using ai to write responses or anything like that, or you have ai art on your carrd, i will not interact with you
ㅤrule 005ㅤ please keep ooc and ic separate. i'm not my character, or my character (haha get it? haha cuz there's like two of her)
ㅤplease noteㅤ i try to avoid saying qitaqit has two "spirits", it is more accurate to say she has two souls. this is to avoid confusion with the 2s indigenous identity, which is unrelated to the concept of the ghahar people
walkupsㅤ random walkups are cool, if i'm tagged up and not talking to anyone assume i'm free to rp
styleㅤ i tend to mirror, if you give me more, i'll try to give you more. preferred is para, abt 1-2 messages. i have bad wrists so sometimes i may write less or take longer to write more, please be patient
themesㅤ qitaqit or tuw'al can fit into many different areas, from darker, more conflict driven rp to simple conversation and slice of life to romance. of course, the themes may decide which characters can and can't show up. i especially enjoy writing which centers women
ㅤno-nosㅤ no modern characters, or s9 characters. it doesn't fit with what i like to write. wol characters, msq npcs, ascians/ancients are also something i will avoid. other than that i'm fairly loose, i like to, honestly, ignore a lot of the in game lore most of the time anyway.

about me i'm mud! i'm in my 30s, a lesbian, and i love to write. worldbuilding is my favorite thing to do in this game. i love making new cultures for the less expanded on regions of this game and reading what other people have come out with too. i read a lot about anthropology and languages around the world.if you roleplay with me and you like my writing, feel free to ask for discord to keep up. i tend to forget a lot of the time. i can be a bit shy and also forgetful. i'll also pass codes if we roleplay.other characters here(sorry for the weird layout on mobile, it's unreadable otherwise)art credit (left): thewma

ㅤbiographyㅤ born the first of five children, qitaqit had a fairly normal upbringing, playing, singing, and collecting seashells.as is the case with all ghahar children, upon surviving her eleventh winter, the village tepnel unlocked her hulda, the shared soul she was born with: taw'al, the soul she was meant to redeem.taw'al would prove a hard beast to reign in. in her nineteenth winter, on an other wise mundane seal hunt, taw'al would maim qitaqit's brother, leaving him paralyzed.qitaqit would grow to hate taw'al, hate when she was forced to use her to contribute to the community, culminating in taw'al kidnapping her, forcing her to sail around the north coast of othard and ilsbard.eventually, the pair would settle with a tribe of coastal miqo'te on the north coast of abalathia. there, she'd learn their language, show them how to hunt marine mammals and use the pelts and blubber.
ㅤpersonalityㅤ qitaqit is polite on the surface, aware she is in a different land with different customs. however, seeing as ghahar tradition positions them as favored by their god, she can be a bit haughty, thinking herself above other people. she grows easily frustrated when taw'al is unruly.
the hulda oh! oh, how quaint. you ghahar, "chosen" by your god to house us, to try to reform us, to make us better souls for reincarnation. keeping us locked away with your little stones until it fits your needs. how you keep servants of us, yet think yourselves so high and mighty!you consign us to a life sans salvation. you do not believe us capable of redeeming our own selves, then? you are no better than us, commanding us to inflict violence upon the natural world for your own benefit.you fail to recognize, you need us more than we need you! there are infinite chances in reincarnation, but you? you ghahar would starve without us to get you through the winter.
ㅤpersonalityㅤ taw'al is much a mirror opposite of qitaqit. she is pushy, rude, doesn't care for local customs, and, above all, disinterested in the so-called "sacred duty" of the ghahar. in fact, she takes great, perverse joy in upsetting qitaqit.

the ghahar a tribe of hunter-gatherers on the northern coast of the ryakgyr peninsula in northeastern othard, east of the azim steppe. one of the larger aqu'ul people, they are the northernmost group, fishing and gathering wild plants in the warm months and hunting seals and whales in the winter. the aqu'ul are not au ra nor xaela, having split off from the main branches of au ra many centuries ago, but they are physically very similar to xaela otherwise.religion the ghahar are monotheistic, worshipping their god iyax. the ghahar believe iyax has bestowed them with the most virtuous souls, which will be freed from the endless cycle of reincarnation. iyax, however, requires of them to redeem another soul, the hulda, which is returned to the cycle to live a more virtuous next life. whereas the ghahar themselves must abstain from all violence against all living beings, including not being able to kill for food or in self defence, the hulda have no such restrictions, but they can only come out in the presence of mystical stones. in some ways, their customs bear some similarity to the customs of the dotharl on the steppe. for the ghahar, the warmer seasons are for their true, pure selves, but the winter is where they prove their mettle and their ability to control their huldas.khabdata the enemies of the ghahar are the khabdata, another aqu'ul tribe from the interior who herd reindeer instead of whaling and sealing. the khabdata are much more numerous than the ghahar, and lack the stone-bound soul tradition.
hooks
dual personality quite obvious, one day qitaqit is out and cheerful, funny, and kind. the next, taw'al, who is wicked and vile, shows her face, a quite odd juxtaposition. perhaps they jump in the middle of a conversation.the hunter qitaqit views her duty as sacred, and paramount to that is continuing her cultural practices, even if it means appeasing taw'al.
